It’s November and that means it’s time to dust off those running shoes, grab a few friends and register for a local Turkey Trot!
Never participated in a Turkey Trot? No worries! They’re run or walk at your own pace 5K events that are very family friendly, usually take place on Thanksgiving morning and always benefit a great charitable cause.

Fleet Feet’s 11th Annual 5K

Join the Fleet Feet Sports crew for the 11th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Turkey Trot. The course winds through the streets of historic Annapolis and 5K proceeds benefit Girls on the Run Greater Chesapeake and the Travis Manion Foundation. Strollers, kids, and dogs are welcome to join in on the fun!
Y Turkey Trot Charity 5K

The Y’s Charity Turkey Trot in another time honored annual tradition for over 20 years! The event is held on Thanksgiving morning and open to all ages and abilities. Everyone (friendly dogs included) can walk, skip or run the 3.1-mile course at one of 8 Turkey Trots organized throughout Maryland.

Downtown Baltimore’s only Turkey Trot! Adults and kids will enjoy a festive run through the downtown that starts and ends at Inner Harbor East. Everyone who finishes the 5K course will receive a medal and race proceeds will be donated to The Sol Goodman Pancreatic Cancer Research Center at Johns Hopkins and the Greater Maryland Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association.
