Fourth of July Events around Annapolis and St. Mary’s County

This year, celebrate the 4th with outdoor concerts, patriotic parades and amazing fireworks shows. We’ve rounded up some of the best celebrations around Anne Arundel and St. Mary’s Counties. Happy Independence Day!

St. Mary’s College 2017 River Concert Series Program

June 30 at 7pm

The June 30th program is titled An Evening of Americana for Our Independence Holiday, featuring the Chesapeake Orchestra playing patriotic favorites followed by a fireworks show.

 

Hollywood Fire Department Independence Day Celebration

July 1 at 5pm

Enjoy an evening of carnival rides, games and food, followed by fireworks at dusk.

 

Glen Burnie Improvement Association Fireworks

July 3 at 9pm

GBIA’s annual fireworks show will be July 3rd at Sawmill Creek Park, with food available for purchase at the Glen Burnie Boys Baseball concession stand.

 

The Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce July 4th Parade

July 4 at 10am

The parade starts on Benfield Road and culminates at Sunrise of Severna Park on Cypress Creek Road. There will also be a food truck/concession at Severna Park High School.

 

Annapolis 4th of July Parade

July 4 at 6:30pm

This patriotic parade will feature marching bands, fire engines old and new, cars and vans, service clubs and scouts starting down West Street in downtown Annapolis.

The fireworks are launched from a barge in Annapolis Harbor, with the best viewing spots Northeast of the Severn River, City Dock, along the Naval Academy Bridge, street-end parks facing Spa Creek, or aboard a boat in the Annapolis Harbor
