Top Wineries to Visit This Spring

As the weather warms up, spring is the perfect time to tour some of the many wineries and vineyards in our area, and take in the delicious wine and beautiful views. Here are our picks for the top 5 wineries to visit this spring, all close to Sturbridge Homes communities.

 

Great Frogs Winery

3218 Harness Creek Road, Annapolis

Tastings by reservation Fridays and Saturdays from 1-5pm. Bring along your furry friends as they are dog friendly as long as your dog is leashed, well behaved and cleaned up after!

 

Solomons Island Winery

515 Garner Lane, Lusby

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, they are open Tuesday through Sunday, 11am – 5pm. Taste 5 wines for $5!

Port of Leonardtown Winery

 23190 Newtowne Neck Rd, Leonardtown

Stop by for a tasting Wednesday – Sunday from 12-6 pm. The event calendar is full of happenings like music on the patio, First Fridays in Leonardtown, wine pairing dinners, and more.

Running Hare Vineyard

150 Adelina Road, Prince Frederick

Wine and craft beer in one place! Visit the tasting room and the craft beer garden outside in the vineyard from April-November.  They offer live music every Saturday and Sunday, and are dog friendly as long as they are kept on a leash and you clean up after them.

Romano Vineyard and Winery

15715 Bald Eagle School Road, Brandywine

Open for wine tastings every Saturday, 12-5pm. Come by for other events, such as Wine & Canvas Nights, where an instructor will guide you through painting the featured artwork step-by-step, and Music in the Vineyard, live music weekends throughout the summer.
