Spring Cleaning Tips

The sun is shining and the flowers are beginning to bloom. It’s time to get your Sturbridge home ready for the season with these spring cleaning tips and hacks!

Window Washing

Let the light shine through your windows this spring. Use a glass cleaner to get those windows spotless. Make sure to clean your windows on a cloudy day. You may end up with streaks if you let the sun dry them.

Vacuum Your Cabinets

Use your detachable vacuum brush to suck up any crumbs or dust lurking in the corners of your kitchen cabinets.

Pillow Case Your Ceiling Fan

Slip an old pillowcase over your ceiling fan blades, one at a time, then wipe. This awesome hack allows the dust to fall into the pillowcase and not on your furniture or floors.

Butter Knife

Don’t let dust build up in your air vents. Wrap a paper towel or dry rag around a butter knife. Use the wrapped knife to wipe in between your air vent slates.

Sink Disposal Renewal

Drop a few slices of lemon, salt, and ice cubes down your sink disposal to get rid of any odors and leave it smelling citrusy fresh!

Sanitize You Sponges

Soak your sponges and cleaning rags in bleach, water, and lemon juice to use them like they’re new!

Microwave Cleanup

Fill a cup with water and vinegar. Sit it in your microwave and turn it on for five minutes. After the time is up, wipe down the microwave with a fresh sponge for a clean finish.
